Car scene 2
We were commissioned to recreate a highly realistic 3D animation of a classic car driving past a local shopping centre—an everyday scene deeply rooted in Kenyan urban life. The process began with on-ground reference collection: photos, textures, and video clips of actual neighborhood shops, signboards, waste bins, electricity poles, and road textures. We paid close attention to the small details—faded paint on shop walls, rust on metal signage, and even scratch card posters. Using Blender, we modeled every asset from scratch. The car itself was designed to look aged and grounded in realism, with sagging suspension, dusty textures, and subtle wear and tear. The environment was built to echo the hustle of a typical multipurpose estate shop zone. The animation phase focused on motion realism—wheel rotation, slight camera shake, and shadows shifting as the car moves past the scene. Finally, we rendered everything in Cycles, using realistic lighting and post-processing to deliver that near-photo-real final look. This project was a fun mix of Kenyan nostalgia and technical precision, and it allowed us to flex our storytelling through realism in animation. AfterBefore
Car Scene Animation
We were tasked with creating a hyper-local, almost-realistic animation of a classic car passing through a busy Kenyan shopping center. From start to finish, this scene demanded a full pipeline approach—beginning with collecting real-life reference footage and photographs of Nairobi estate setups, matope-filled parking lots, and typical kiosk signage. Using Blender, we modeled every element from scratch—the environment, the buildings, the textures, and of course, the vintage car. The animation captured subtle physics-based motion like tire suspension, camera shake, and sun-angle shadows to enhance realism. Textures were hand-painted and projected using references, while lighting and rendering were done in Cycles for that crisp, real-world feel. This project challenged us to balance stylization with grounded realism—bringing digital life to a setting every Kenyan can recognize. The result? A short 3D sequence that feels like you’ve just walked past Mamu’s shop on your way to the stage.

Backdrop Visuals for Cheza na Gospel Concert by Moji Shortbabaa.
We had the incredible opportunity to partner with Moji Shortbabaa, a renowned gospel artist in Kenya, for his vibrant Cheza na Gospel Concert. The goal was to create unique and entertaining 3D backdrop visuals that would elevate the live performance experience and resonate with the concert’s youthful and energetic audience. Our team was approached with a tight turnaround—only 4 days to conceptualize, design, and deliver all the visuals. Rising to the challenge, we harnessed the power of Blender (3D) and Adobe After Effects to bring Moji’s vision to life. From dynamic motion graphics to immersive stage environments, every element was crafted to enhance the spiritual and artistic essence of the event. The result? A visually engaging and memorable concert that left a lasting impression on attendees and viewers alike. This collaboration is a testament to the impact of creative visuals in gospel events and our ability to deliver high-quality work, even under pressure.
Story of conservation
Signature FX partnered with a conservation NGO to develop a visually compelling 3D animated video that educates communities on wildlife protection and climate action. The project involved creating lifelike animal models, immersive natural landscapes, and simplified storytelling to engage both children and adults. By combining creativity with conservation messaging, Signature FX helped the NGO increase awareness and outreach across digital platforms. In addition to the animation, Signature FX also designed educational visual assets—including character illustrations, motion posters, and interactive story snippets—that were used in school programs and community events. These tools not only enhanced the NGO’s curriculum but also fostered a deeper connection with local youth, encouraging them to take active roles in protecting their environment.

Project bettle
Project Overview Signature FX was tasked with creating a high-quality 3D model of a classic Volkswagen Beetle for a gaming project. The objective was to produce a highly detailed yet optimized asset that could seamlessly integrate into a game engine while maintaining visual realism. Our Approach We began by meticulously modeling the VW Beetle in Blender, ensuring accurate proportions and intricate details that stayed true to the original car’s design. The next step involved detailed UV unwrapping and PBR texturing in Substance Painter to achieve realistic surface materials, including paint, chrome, and worn-out elements for added authenticity. To ensure smooth performance within a game engine, we optimized the polygon count while maintaining high visual fidelity. High-Detail 3D Modeling – Captured the iconic curves and design features of the VW Beetle. Realistic PBR Texturing – Applied high-resolution materials with reflective surfaces, subtle weathering, and scratches for realism. Game-Optimized Asset – Reduced polycount without compromising quality, ensuring smooth performance in real-time rendering. Engine Compatibility – Tested and exported the model for seamless integration into Unity and Unreal Engine. Outcome The final 3D Beetle asset was successfully integrated into the game environment, delivering both aesthetic appeal and efficient performance. The optimized textures and materials ensured a balanced mix of realism and game-ready functionality, making it a standout feature in the project.
